Quad Stack Battery Extractors (BE-QS) from BHS offer the greatest combination of space-saving design, efficiency, and safety for fleets with more than 300 batteries. With battery change-outs averaging just a few minutes per lift truck, a BE-QS system can improve battery room efficiency significantly, freeing forklifts to complete more material handling tasks.

Data-driven features associated with BHS's BE-MAX package make the BE-QS more safe, efficient, and reliable than ever before. Managers at the regional and/or facility level can log into the BHS BE-MAX Web Portal from anywhere with internet access. There, admins can view operator sessions, track system notifications, and activate advanced safety features like a required Operator Daily Checklist every 24 hours.

The advanced BHS lift system incorporates four hydraulic lift cylinders with a four-point equalization system. This combination keeps the battery carriage moving smoothly and evenly, while the exclusive Non-Inter-Flow hydraulic manifold routes power to adjust to the shifting weight of a battery transfer.

Battery beds ensure load stability during travel with five hydraulic-powered rollers supported by six additional idler rollers. The careful spacing of these rollers prevents damage to battery cases and supports the 10,000 pound load capacity that allows the BE-QS to bear the industry’s heaviest batteries safely.

Condition-based and predictive maintenance through the first-in-its-class BHS BE-MAX system prevent downtime, while sensors ensure that all components operate within acceptable ranges. Email alerts keep managers informed, giving them full control over asset operation even from remote locations.

Blue Light (BE-BLU-LT): Projects a bright, highly concentrated blue beam pattern on the ground in the direction that the extractor is moving

Powered Battery Stop (BE-PBS): Automatic, mechanical stops on the forklift change-out side of the BE roller compartments prevent battery discharge while the unit is more than 20" off the floor (not available on model BE-42-2-QS)
Safety Scanner (BE-SICK): A compact system which scans the area in front and behind the Battery Extractor to identify objects or pedestrians in its detection zone, stopping movement of the Battery Extractor upon detection
Strobe Light (BE-STBLT): Visually notifies bystanders when machine is in operation
Fleet Tracker® (FLT-IIOT): BHS Fleet Tracker is a cloud-based fleet-management system, with detailed reporting that allows users to right-size their fleets for optimal efficiency. Connection to the IIoT allows managers to measure the health of batteries, stands, and trucks by logging into a secured Web Portal. Fleet Tracker’s touchscreen HMI mounted to the Automatic Transfer Carriage guides users to charged batteries, posts maintenance reminders, and updates the status of battery assets to the cloud. The Fleet Tracker system improves battery health, improves change-out efficiency, and gives managers the real-time data they need to eliminate waste by matching assets to needs exactly.
